I agree, Ken. Where is god when you need him? So many children die under similar circumstances around the world, you just have to wonder about god's absence. Is god on vacation, retired, dead? I assure you, if I were god, wouldn't see this sort of thing happen.

I assure you, if I were god, wouldn't see this sort of thing happen. Hardly... I never blame God for the actions of the free-will spiritual agents called man. As Jesus said, "Give to God what belongs to God and to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar". This is definitely a Ceasar cause and effect. Actually, Steve, God prophetically declared that man will make things even worse and if Jesus didn't come we would destroy our earth. In the meantime, we will begin to hear of more and more miracles as people let God into their lives.

So this "give to god" thing means that god gets credit for all the good things and none of the blame for bad things, because that's man's thing. In my world, if god can accept responsibility for evil, he doesn't get credit for good. Fair is fair.

So this "give to god" thing means that god gets credit for all the good things and none of the blame for bad things, because that's man's thing. In my world, if god can accept responsibility for evil, he doesn't get credit for good. Fair is fair. It could be that what you think a miracle means isn't what you think it means. When a doctors tells someone "I just don't understand this, it is a miracle"... I tend to believe him. Certainly, in Jesus time, after many miracles were done, the asked "Please show us a miracle". I guess only the names have changed. As far as "good and evil" -- man has the capacity to do both good and evil. There are some who do good but it is perceived as evil. There are some who do evil and it is perceived as good. Likewise, man has the capacity to perceive the same things of God. I prefer the positions of Jesus... "it is the thief that comes but to steal, kill and destroy but I have come to give life and life in abundance.". Again I favor the outlook of James when he said "Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights". So, yes, man creates evil and God is good. But you are well within your right to view good as evil.

I don't view good as evil, I don't even view god as evil, if that's what you mean.
