I think we'll all pretty much agree that this is not it: apnews.myway.com/article/20140122/DABG55DO1.htmlI checked out the article as part of my recent campaign to highlight the stupid shootings of the day, but this one is immeasurably more sad than stupid. Assuming, for the sake of argument, that the wife was on board with this, imagine if the couple had lived in Washington state.

4 bullets, two for his wife, two for himself - that has to be one of the stupidest statements I've heard in a long time. I think mental illness has a part in this.

I probably erred in not filing this under today's stupid shooting. My best guess here is that he bought the extra bullets in case they malfunctioned, not because he was worried that he might get away unharmed. Shoulda had an extra gun. Or a howitzer. This is America.

It seems that similar stories take place every few years. Quite sad. Nearly always it is a very elderly couple neither of which ever had any knowledge of firearms.
While I am opposed to suicide for any purpose, I think the access to Dr assisted suicide would be a better option than tragedies like this.

I don't recall your posting it, but it's a good article. We have a living will waiting back in RI for us to sign. We've been waiting to talk to the lawyers because we have some questions about trusts we're setting up relative to FL tax laws. Perhaps we should stop procrastinating.
