On what basis do you agree? Have you studied the issue in any depth? I will admit that I have not. As such, I tend to rely on the scientific consensus, which seems overwhelmingly to be running in the opposite direction as this article. I realize that this is relying on authority, but I still find it better than you are offering us here, which is essentially where we are to infer "Earth good guy" from the word "Greenpeace". Moore may certainly be a good guy, but I suppose it's probably more important to the topic to know if he knows anything about climatology? Does he?

I am hardly an expert and certainly not the voice of "climate change". What I know is basically what anybody can find on the internet. Certainly there has been a lot of exposed fabrications that have been exposed that gives room for doubt not to mention that it has been just as hot before without all the population and industry of today. However, Patrick Moore, who has a PhD in ecology would certainly have a better perspective in climatology than many. Ultimately, I guess you could say that this is just my opinion.

Bonus round: why do you suppose this is your opinion? I am taking for granted that you are not a burn-the-earth loony.

Ken,
Just did a Google search of Patrick Moore. He owns a public relations firm that specializes in representing businesses that are on the wrong side of ecology issues. You gotta do a better job of picking heroes. Once again your research skills have been found lacking.

If what you say is true... was that after he left Green Peace because of the politics? To broad of a brush at this time.

For various reasons of which some are: 1) Scientists getting caught at fudging information which was most likely then used by honest scientists. 2) I don't personally find where any scientist has dealt with the fact that this isn't the first time global warming has happened (not to say they haven't, but it has yet to be seen by me) and how this may be just another cycle 3) To many other factors which, IMO, haven't been addressed such as methane in Antarctica.

Aw, bummer. Your first answer was so much better. Oh well...one in a row.

Full disclosure:
When I lived in CT, I owned a screen printing business. About 20 years ago, I sold t-shirts to Peter Willcox, Greenpeace ship captain. Somewhere, there's a 20 year old Greenpeace t-shirt stuffed in the back of Greenpeace activist's closet or dresser drawer that I made a few bucks on.Take anything I say concerning global warming with a grain of salt, I had a finacial stake in the matter.
I wish Patrick Moore would be so honest.

Ken, you were so close to a eureka moment. You have, on several occasions, presented information from "climate change deniers" . Clearly, you seem to favor their opinions. Again, why? This time, please don't tell us that it's because you've studied all the information from both sides and you find the "nay" side more compelling. Don't worry--I've already given you cover by saying that I haven't either and that you're not an eco-monster. Reach deep inside...why do you favor arguments against climate change?
