Venezuela, Ken ? Really? That's your story? OMG, you really stepped out of your comfort zone. I've sang the Canadian national anthem, and the French anthem, and hummed along with god Save the Queen, and the Russian anthem. You and your people don't make the rules in this country anymore. You people? Marginalization is always an interesting position. Everybody are just people. As we have seen, anthems and pledges of allegiance can be quite a thorn for some atheists www.newsmax.com/US/pledge-of-allegiance-atheists-boycott-God/2014/09/12/id/594312/Atheist aren't "you people". Just people with a different faith position.

You certainly won't find it at the next NFL game or a beer can. Maybe you should start by listening to your wife in reference to Judaism? How do you know that you can't find a miracle at an NFL game? I heard an evangelical player give all the credit to god last Sunday for his play and victory. As far as beer is concerned, obviously you haven't tried Yuengling. Finally, if it's not related to chicken soup, my wife doesn't talk about miracles. Please make up your mind... are you supporting miracles now at the NFL? Who know, you might find the miracle in listening to your wife. I've tried beer, but never the Yuengling. At this point, I guess I will miss the opportunity.

May God comfort the family during this time. May it be etched in their minds that they will se the child again in heaven. I'm sure you understand and sympathize with what the family is going through. We had lost two babies through miscarriages before we had our first son. Without me knowing, my wife had always said to God "I wish I knew what I had". Years had past and an elderly couple came to our church who had no idea that we had lost two babies. The wife had a moment where she was in the hospital. They said she had almost past away. When she came to she was sharing how she had seen her father and mother and other loved ones. After a while she also said (paraphrased) "You know what? I also happen to see two young men who looked just like your son except a little older". Sharing that with my wife, she mentioned her secret petition of knowing what gender her babies were". Well... we all die, Steve. Do hope to see you in heaven. I hope the mother and daughter find comfort in their faith in god, because they certainly don't have a son and brother to fall back on. It's not just a death, it was a prayer answered, and then betrayal. If you believe in the power of prayer, you have to feel betrayed by this story. I'm the atheist here, I'm the one who should feel ambivalent, yet it seems I'm who senses the betrayal in this prayer scenario. I don't think about heaven, I don't even care. Caveman stuff as far as I'm concerned.Perhaps you have just betrayed yourself. Apparently the mother and daughter found their refuge in God. Betrayal happens because people are people. It seems like they understand that they can trust God. But I do thank you for having some compassion for them.

Sure, why not. Believers have set the standards for miracles, and NFL miracles certainly fit within those parameters. So how do NFL miracles differ from regular old miracles?

But you said you don't believe in miracles and now you say you do. Maybe that is why you don't receive one. Scriptures say that a man that is tossed to and fro, when asking, is like the wind that tosses the waves and that they cannot receive anything. Like someone who says "I want the job, but I'm not sure I do, but I do want it, but maybe I don't" - can't work with that. I think you are starting to understand some of the spiritual principles that govern prayer.

Again how are sports miracles different from your good old miracles? I've received plenty of miracles as an atheist, and i don't even pray. Maybe you're the one confused about miracles.

What a cruel trick to play on big sister though..............I'm just sayin', that's going to screw up the rest of her life.

One thing's for sure, it would be a miracle by anybody's reckoning if either Steve's Sox or my Yanks won THIS year's World Series. Jeter had a pretty nice final home game, so I have to settle for that and shift loyalty temporarily to the Cards who are still in the running. Cards vs. Orioles could be a fun Series.

I'm gonna root for KC, Oakland, and Pittsburgh - underdogs all the way! KC/Pittsburgh - there's a ratings loser.

Yes, we have all types of people. No one has a corner on that market... RICHARD DAWKINS’ ATHEIST CHARITY EMBEZZLED
Maybe in the future Dr. Dawkins might add ethics to the list of things that he wants to teach the world. On a side note, Dr. Dawkins placed the online store in the hands of the alleged embezzler because Dawkins was trying to work around a rule from British Charities Commission prohibiting the charity from running its own store.

Was the embezzler reelected as the community pastor?
Dawkins did nothing that any PG preacher wouldn't do.
